This series was taken the last day before the Silvretta High Alpine Road got closed for winter. It was a wonderful sunny day, freezing cold in the morning and much warmer over the day and the last chance to go to this place for this year. We had expected some more snow, but the ice floes were a good compensation.
It was fascinating and a little scary hearing the drone of the cracking ice plates. A sound I've never heard before and which was much louder as I had expected it to be.
