The morning light is particularly beautiful at this time of year, highlighting the pond called "Hachijogaike" and the old buildings, gazebos, hosting the restaurant Kinsuitei.

"Gordes c'est un petit village, magnifique, pas loin d'où j'habite. Le magazine américain "Travel + Leisure" l'a élu comme le plus beau village au monde il y a quelques mois. Même si je ne suis pas originaire de ces lieux, j'y vis très bien et j'aime l'idée de les mettre en valeur!"

Autumn in Tokachi is short-lived. In the suburban fields, "Kikarashi" and "Sunflower," green manure crops, are sown on the vast cultivated land after the crops are harvested. In the blink of an eye, Kikarashi, which bloomed lovely flowers in the fall, is returned to the earth by the cultivating machinery. The brief, beautiful scene must be a gift from the gods to reward the farmers for their labor, hoping for a bountiful harvest next year.

I Soar Like the Autumn Leaf

Description: My face transforms into a kaleidoscope of colour, as I see autumn leaves soar, glide then rest gently on the ground. During this season, I am reminded of the cycle of life, death and rebirth.

The photo of Central Park was taken from a Doors Off Helicopter Tour over Manhattan. The wife and I flew over the city in late October as Autumn was starting to turn. New York was the most thrilling observation and flying sensation ever to experience.

A Sunrise In November

In the foothills of Colorado, where the hills start to grow into
mountains, sunrise in autumn can be vivid and dramatic. On
these days, the sky at sunrise can be just as intense as the sky
at sunset on the same day.
This is one of those sunrises in November.

Autumn on the Farm

This photo entitled "Autumn on the Farm" was taken at Lavandula Swiss Italian Farm, which is 10 minutes north of Daylesford in Australia. The farm sits in 100 acres of picturesque farmlands with rows of lavender, European styled gardens, historical stone buildings, farm animals and an eatery. Over 100 handcrafted aromatherapy products are produced on the farm including soaps, lavender oil and many other products.

AUTUMN – this season is seen in different ways. While humans mourn the loss of youth, trees are not saddened by the desolate appearance they seem to have. They know that later on they will return to the exuberance and beauty of a new beginning.

"Herbst. Vergänglichkeit." – in English: "Autumn. Transience."

Late autumn is the time of dying and decay, the season of endings. But death is not annihilation and something to be feared but rather a necessary stage in the continuing cycle of nature, and thus something to be welcomed as much as any other aspect of nature. This mushroom is decomposed by other fungi. At this stage of its dying, you can't tell anymore what kind of mushroom it is. But next year there will be new fungal fruiting bodies.
